When conceptualising the Cantina project in the Tsarskaya Ploshchad residential estate, we embraced this symbol, employing it both ideologically and functionally. The decorative pitched "roof" softens the verticality of the small space with a high ceiling, creating a cosy, sheltering effect reminiscent of a village house. This design element also hints at the core concept of the establishment—a universal restaurant where one can enjoy a coffee after walking the dog or gather for a family dinner without leaving for the city centre.

There are no complex, trendy solutions or "design for design’s sake" here; the space exudes cleanliness and minimalism: white walls, architectural lighting, sleek dark wood furniture, and touches of concrete and aged metal.

Despite its asceticism, this is a vibrant interior, rich with art. Guests’ eyes are drawn to contemporary artworks or the project's focal point—the sculptor’s original piece. This abstract, bionic form reflects a contemplation on the world's duality, inspired by the renowned sculptor Brancusi.

French influences are evident in other details: the white writings on mirrors with sconces and light bulbs, tables for two near tall windows, and an overall atmosphere of elegant simplicity reminiscent of Parisian bistros. The open kitchen, the soul of the restaurant, is added well to the atmosphere. Guests can sit at the bar and observe the creation of dishes, enjoying the sight of the chef at work, who is a familiar face to many residents of the estate.
