Architectural environment of the First UK School has nothing to do with a general school stereotype. Dull classrooms here were transformed into cozy living rooms with velvet chairs and stylish tables with marble table tops instead of school desks with rigid seats. Here one will find not a teacher with a lesson, but a friend and a pleasant conversation. Do not be surprised when, after stepping outside the door, you will feel an irresistible desire to come right back in.
First UK School
For ANZA the main goal of this project was to create a functional and, at the same time, comfortable space with an atmosphere that makes learning easy and enjoyable.
The classrooms are designed in such a way, that nothing here distracts from the educational process. Every element of the interior plays its own important role. Shades of green tones as a background, massive brass lamps and velvet chairs resemble traditional British living room decor.
Elements of classical stucco on the wall frame the fragments treated with a special coating, that transformed the surface into a marker board.
The continuous walnut paneling brought the familiar concept of a classic school to the level of a stylish interior of a high-class hotel. The theme of foreign travels is also supported by the lobby interior, with its velvet sofas and reception desk, designed as a single block of hardwood. A visitor entering First UK School does not feel like a student, but rather as a traveler, who has arrived at the destination, expecting to enjoy a pleasant conversation in a foreign language.
