It’s difficult to find a dish with a more cosmopolitan history than the doughnut. Variations of this dessert exist in almost every country, yet its “original source” remains a mystery. Ten years ago, Mandy’s group captured the Moscow public’s imagination with their signature doughnuts, turning them into their hallmark. Now, they’re set to enter the Dubai market.

ANZA bureau was commissioned to design a pop-up kiosk that would not only introduce guests to the brand’s offerings but also make a bold statement heralding a new era for the project. To achieve this, we drew inspiration from the doughnut’s place within Russian cultural history. The result was a simple yet impactful design, inspired by the iconic Soviet newspaper kiosks.
In contrast to the standard units commonly found in shopping centres, this is a true piece of art, enhancing the space. The brand’s signature wine-burgundy hue and outline lighting accentuate the structure’s unique form, drawing the eye. The project is also meticulously designed from an ergonomic perspective, ensuring that staff can work comfortably inside the kiosk thanks to the carefully considered proportions and dimensions.
As the finishing touch, we created bespoke display cases with lighting and a diagonal arrangement, reminiscent of those in jewellery boutiques, embodying the idea of “a little luxury for every day.”
